Protest on cost of living to take place on Saturday

  1. I editorialized an Independent article to add the date, which fell afoul of the rules – so this one (from a lesser source) aught to do.

This protest should be considered a housing protest as well. Everyone should go to it.

  2. Regardless of your political affiliations I strongly urge as many people as possible to go to this. If not for you but for your family, friends or the wider community.

These protests matter. The govt will pretend like they’re ignoring it but they’ll be keeping a close eye on the attendance figures if nothing else. If they see big numbers they’ll know their goose is going to be cooked a lot sooner than they’d like it to be.

  3. What are their actual demands? When I first heard about this last month it was nonsensical stuff. I wouldn’t be interested in going to a protest without knowing what we are actually requesting.

  4. r/Ireland : *sits at home for 2 years on government assistance while calling for harder lockdowns*

r/Ireland : *Shouts down anyone saying this will cause a global crash and massive inflation*

Also r/Ireland *Protest the results of said measures they wanted*

    Shocking!

  5. Again I would just like to reiterate that the Opec Plus cartel controls the price of oil and gas just google it.

  6. They have the power to change things at the stroke of a pen, do you think standing around shouting will change their minds?
