Surprisingly slick operation from those opposing the Dundrum SHD. Targeted advertising on IG with clickbait headers.

  1. Ireland: running a modern Free market economy attracting lots of immigration, with 1980s planning policy. What could go wrong

  2. Would i be right in saying this guys gaff is the one the corner with the range rover?

Make sure you click his ad anyways so it runs down his ad budget.

  3. Just more fucking NIMBYism. That site is ideal for this type of development. There’s plenty of similar developments in Dundrum town centre already.

At the moment they face a 20 foot granite wall, it was always considered sinister and oppressive due to the height of the wall and the fact that it housed lunatics. Having some of that opened into green public spaces will be beneficial to the community.

If people complain about this they’d better stop moaning about the housing crisis because there aren’t many sites like this left in Dublin, it’s a thousand homes, that’s a big deal and much needed. Even so it’ll take years to complete and they’re asking for a 10 year planning permission.

We need at least 50,000 new homes.

  4. It will be interesting to see what the long term future holds for these SHD developments. Even the lobby groups who pushed for it were surprised when the goverment let them write the legislation.

Their success depends completly on their location. A lot of people might be willing to accept sub-standard living conditions in exhange for living closer to the city centre.

I for one am very happy Im not living to close to these experimental developments. But I do hope it works out for everyone involed.

  5. Is this the cunt all over Facebook that basically photoshopped apartments into a picture that he’s basically pointing at like a TD pointing at a pot hole.

I mean I could Photoshop a picture of say iron man or Pocahontas and point at it and pay for Instagram ads….

  6. This pic is accurate for about 15mins on a summers morning at 6am 😂 ah Jesus the endless articles of nimbyism

  7. I have seen this on Facebook and can’t stand it. It all reeks of one user who feels like speaking as the mouthpiece of an entire suburb regardless of how others in the area (and the city at large) actually feel. They have some mad skills that would have you wondering if they are actually using them in a job or that they just have nothing better to do.
