Weigel’s is partnering with Blings and PDI Technologies to expand the personalization capabilities of its loyalty ecosystem.

MyWeigel’s Rewards members will receive milestone notifications and performance-based messaging in a new format—similar to the “Spotify Wrapped” summary, the convenience-store chain said.

Monthly statements, birthday messaging and membership anniversary communications will now include individualized insights such as points earned, rewards redeemed, visit frequency, fuel savings, the number of Weigel’s Wednesdays attended and other loyalty activities unique to each customer.

“Today’s customer expects brands to know them and communicate with relevance,” said Jessica Starnes, director of loyalty at Weigel’s. “This partnership allows us to transform standard loyalty messaging into something far more engaging and valuable by showing guests the story behind their activity with Weigel’s in a way that feels personal, visual and rewarding.”

The new messaging is powered by PDI Experience Designer’s lifecycle messaging infrastructure and Blings’ personalized data visualization capabilities, Weigel’s said.

“This is another step in evolving MyWeigel’s Rewards from a discount platform into a true relationship platform,” said Nick Triantafellou, director of marketing and merchandising at Weigel’s. “Guests do not just want rewards anymore—they want recognition, personalization and experiences that reflect their engagement with the brand. This partnership helps us deliver that at scale.”

Powell, Tennessee-based Weigel’s, which has more than 80 stores, launched its newly redesigned loyalty app in January

New York City-based Blings is a software development company that creates adaptive videos unique to every viewer utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) and customer data platform (CDP) data, according to its website.

PDI is a convenience retail technology company based in Alpharetta, Georgia.
