My wife found this ambrotype on a flea market in Budapest. The caption says “Leeuwarden Vict Brucke”. Does anyone know the place in Leeuwarden where this photograph was taken?

We’d be grateful for any hints, because google search and a trip to the Central Library in Amsterdam gave us nothing so far.
Edit: Dank u wel, good people of Reddit! We were hoping for some hints, but got the name, more photos and the exact location on Google maps with some very recognisable buildings! You are the best!
I would guess Leeuwarden!
It looks like the Vlietsterbrug in Leeuwarden. Brucke reads like bridge in German(?), where the vict came from i do not know.
Will post a link to a picture of the bridge when i have time.
I am not from around the area but here is a list of all the bridges in the Leeuwarden.

It actually says “Viet Brücke”, so the E’s horizontal bar went missing and they forgot the L from “Vliet” somehow. Compare with the C in “Brücke”.
Today, this water and bridge aren’t there anymore. They filled up the canal and now its a road.
This bridge was named “Vlietser Brug”. The water and this bridge is not there anymore. The canal next the streets “Noordervliet” and “Zuidervliet” was dried up and made into a road.

I think this is the bridge you are looking for, although I couldn’t exactly say where the bridge stood in the street, I’m guessing it was somewhere in the beginning of Noordervliet closest to the city center.
I think I found it.

Next to this building that is still there

I found [this](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3e/2a/9e/3e2a9ebe4d397d7e97170fcfcba14086.jpg) old photo with the Boomsbrug (on the right in the photo) and the Vlietsterbrug at the top. I believe the bridge in your photo is the Vlietsterbrug. the photographer took the photo from the bottom-left spot near the lantern pole.
now these bridges no longer exist and the place where the photos were taken is unrecognizable.
on this site can you see the difference between a map from 1896 to today

I’d guess its around here. The water is now a road. Some buildings are the same, others changed significantly
