LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky businessman Nate Morris has been nominated by the White House to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Colombia. This move follows Morris’ recent withdrawal from the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky.

Morris was approached by President Donald Trump to leave the Senate race, with Trump promising a “new role soon.” Morris announced his withdrawal and supported Rep. Andy Barr for the seat.

Morris had expressed his pride in supporting Barr, citing the importance of rallying behind the candidate aligned with Trump’s vision for America.
