Bradford: Child deaths four times higher in poorest areas

  1. I suspect there is a correlation between those that are too stupid to look after a child properly and those that are too stupid to support themselves.

  2. >Deaths that fall into this category include deaths related to mothers smoking while pregnant, accidents, suicides and some genetically inherited conditions, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.

    “Some genetically inherited conditions”

Love how they sneak that part in at the end. Almost as an afterthought.

You’ve really got to hand it to the BBC.

And to think I help pay for them to do this under threat of criminal sanction.

  3. And lo it came to pass in the year of our Lord 19 and 79 the right honourable Prime Minster Margaret Thatcher said go forth and fuck/marry your cousins..

Thatcher can be blamed for many things.

Interbreeding among certain demographics in this country is not one of them.

  4. Wow what is with these comments?

Poor people are inbreeding? Poor people are stupid?
Might I remind you that it’s traditionally aristocrats who keep the gene pool limited.

I sincerely hope people are simply ignorant of the pressures of being poor rather than think they somehow “deserve it”.

The 5 leading causes of deaths for children are cancer, accidents, congenital, respiratory, and infections. https://stateofchildhealth.rcpch.ac.uk/evidence/mortality/child-mortality/

Things like accidents are often very time critical. Don’t own a car? Looks like you’re waiting for an ambulance.

For infections? What if you’ve just had a 13 hour shift and it’s 10pm and your next 13 hour shift is at 8am the next day? Oh and if you miss that shift you can’t afford food for the kids. How are you supposed to take that child to a GP with that schedule?

Being poor is a difficult and stressful existence. Suggesting it’s because people are stupid just reeks of privilege and your own obliviousness to the advantages you have.
