Not sure why portions of this sentence were suspended. Autism aside, there is 0 remorse here and not only that, the victim couldn’t even read an impact statement without that bollix shouting and calling

‘Little Jimmy is an absolute angel and wouldn’t hurt a fly!’, ‘Ah but he’s had a tough upbringing in an unsuitable environment’ or can’t forget ‘he aspires to go on to collage and complete a PLC level 5 course in how to use a computer’.
This system is a fucking joke and I hope the little prick is thought a very ‘hard lesson’ inside.

Absolutely disgusting this day and age, a woman gets orally raped and the rapist gets 21 months suspended? Fuck autism as an excuse, people on the spectrum still know right from wrong and there should be consequences for actions. This stupid idiot of a judge using this rhetoric is so damaging to people who are neurodivergent too, as it infantiles the community in the eyes of the public (ie in terms of putting autistic people don’t know right from wrong ideas out there)
It is absolutely terrifying to be a woman right now, disgusted and have completely lost faith in this country the government and the law with all these absolutely ridiculously short sentences for monsters who traumatise people for life. It puts the idea out there for rapist sickos that there’s no real consequences, get away with a slap on the wrist really in comparison to the damage they cause

Crimes like this should have a minimum sentence with no way of getting out early.
That is a horrendous verdict. He’s found guilty but half the sentence is suspended and another good chunk of it is running concurrently. I can’t believe the judge let that sort of carry on continue in the courtroom, the accused’s family giving abuse.
I find it interesting seeing autism being used more and more as an “excuse” for crime. Funny how females with autism seem to be capable of controlling themselves, like for example the victim in this case, who also has autism, who was capable of not assaulting anyone and not roaring abuse at people like the perpetrator. Fuck him and his shitty family.
The thing that pisses me off about our legal system is it’s lenency, 21 months not even two years, and he’s roaring abuse at a victim, lads it’s not even funny. Get hard on them make an example of one disuade others, you would see change.
Autism cant be used an an excuse. He is either fully able to understand what he was doing was wrong, or he is cognitively impaired to the point where he doesnt understand that rape isn’t ok and needs a special needs carer’s supervision all the time. He is obviously the former.
