I took this picture yesterday in Basel-Stadt. Found another one “Fck Pride Month” in Aarau today. I assume this is because of the Pride Month rallies? Either way, this saddens me to see. Being born & raised in CH I always knew we were quite conservative but this is just on another level of moronic-ness.
You honestly think a functional human would go around grafitying walls with positive message? People who do this are deranged, pay it no mind
whenever there’s a wave to one side (lgbt rights) there’s a counter wave. the goal is that the right wave is bigger than the other
Seriously, there could be a solution to end world hunger, poverty, global warming and literally make life better for everyone on this planet within a week, and there would still be people opposing it.
Bad humans do exist.
It seems they’re hating only LGBTQ, without the +
Switzerland is a diverse country with people from several cultural backgrounds. And in some cultures, some topics are more taboo than others. And breaking taboos is not seen as something good there.
However, I do believe that most gay haters are usually kinda gay themselves. If a man kisses with a few other men and feels nothing, he is obviously not gay. But has also no reason to hate gays since they simply feel something when doing so.
Gay haters on the other hand never kissed a man themselves, or did it and cannot cope with their feelings. They should know that it’s ok to be confused sometimes.
You removed and reposted the same post? It’s just some inbreds having fun with a spray paint can
I’m gay (English but with lots of Alpine heritage).
The most disappointing thing about this is that the Swiss are graffitiing. The fantasy that you’re all above that sort of thing has often given me life while walking around urban wastelands; “Ah, well the Swiss aren’t like this”, I’d tell myself.
First, I think it’s people threatened with equality for any kind of minority. People like this believe equality for a minority means something is being taken away from THEM, which of course is ridiculous.
Second, there are people who just want look down on SOMEONE, whether it’s women, foreigners or LGBTQ people, etc.
Third, it’s people insecure about their own sexuality.
No, no no you misunderstood, they want to fuck LGBTQ people because they love them so much /s
Where religious extremism exists, homophobia always follows.
It’s a small but loud minority. Overall, Switzerland is quite progressive (or at least Suisse Romande is). You find jerks everywhere.
When ever I ask my gay friends what LGBTQ means, I can never get a straight answer…
It’s either Homophobes/lgbtq-phobes who are especially whiny right now because ”y no straight pride“ or it’s young people who think it’s sooo funny and edgy to contribute to hate against a marginalised group.
Not all enjoy the taste of alphabet soup 😉
Most probably done by some 16 year olds who are egoistic fuckboys.
There’s a decent chance this is a false flag. It seems strange that someone who genuinely hates a group would go out of their way to use that group’s preferred, inconvenient acronym to refer to them, rather than a slur/insult. Also the “fck” is very commonly used in left wing circles (“fck SVP”, “fck the police”). So this could very well have been someone who’s trying to push exactly this narrative of “omg Western countries are so homophobic” to further their political agenda.
I think seeing this as a sign for “all the hate” as in a rise of hate is a slight misinterpretation, if you ask me.
First of all it is crossed out, that means at least somebody was clearly not ok with the statement.
Secondly: spraying slogans on walls is usually a countercultural way of messaging. As strange as it may sound, but with all the social progress, the LGBT-Movement mostly left the counterculture and went pretty mainstream, at the same time being against LGBT on the other hand has kinda become countercultural. (imho one of the reasons egdy teens like the alt-right)
So all in all, I see this more as a sign, that being Pro-LGBT-Rights is getting such a normal and mainstream thing to be nowadays, that the reactonaries are forced to get countercultural and write their statements illegally on walls (and they still get crossed out, because of the still bigger non-reactonary counterculture, lol)…
Personally i got just so annoyed by the constant spam the media is doing about the topic. SRF3 (radio at work) was unbearable for some time.
I got no issues with 9X% of the stuff lgbt people want but the messaging is absolutely horrible.
Well, personally, I think the movement has become a huge fucking shitshow. It is no longer about just accepting and tolerating gay people or trans people, it has become a community in which a lot of people who have psychological disorders are welcomed with “you are totally healthy, yes, sure, go ahead and cut your dick off, if you want to be a woman, you can.” This is not healthy for those people. Look at the suicide rate of trans people, do you really think they kill themselves only because the world doesn’t tolerate their decision? Maybe some, but a lot of them just realize that transitioning is not suddenly the magic button to click to become happy.
If a schizophrenic guy tells you that he speaks to “Mike” and Mike does not actually exist, what would you do? You would treat him for his illness and give him medicine, you would not just go “oh, yea, Mike is totally real, you should listen to him.”
Also, regarding the pride parade and pride month. Do you rellay need a whole month of people applauding you for being yourself or even a mentally ill person? Last time I checked, the love parade is not a hetero parade, so why does the LGBTQ+ need their own parade?
Now, would I go around tagging “fuck LGBTQ” on walls? No, but then again I would not hang rainbow flags everywhere. The LGBTQ+ movement also shares a problem with a lot of other movements which some people just cannot seem to get: Hetero people cannot identify with the movement because they are not included in the movement but the society tries to pessure them into supporting LGBTQ+.
Also, one main problem is the loud minority in the LGBTQ+ community which basically labels you a homophobe, tranphobe etc. just because youdo not agree with that lifestyle. I personally do not agree with some aspects of the LGBTQ+ movement, that does not mean I go around and smack the shit out of any LGBTQ+ supporter or call them bad names to their face everyday. You might get a look or two, but then again, look at some LGBTQ+ people and how they dress etc., loads are provoking people to take a second look because they look very different to the average person.
Sincereley,
not a homophobe, not a transphobe, but not a LGBTQ+ supporter either.
Well, I like to fuck LGBTQ+ people… just saying.. xD
Could be teenage vandals who couldn’t care less about LGBTQ+, hard to determine from a graffiti. Humanity just sucks.

1 action from one or a few individuals = Swiss people in general are hating on LGBTQ.
I think those people originally have more against the movement than against the people and if you get far enough down the rabbithole they started getting bubbled in
Frankly, the movement has gotten a little out of hand and may have reached a breaking point for those people
I don’t think that the people in switzerland hate the LGBTQ+ community. Its just the fact that it is too mainstream. Everywhere you go there are rainbow flags… Me myself thinks that if you’r straight you aren’t even normal nowadays.
I don’t want people to take my comment as disrespectful.

As a fellow gay, I can indeed attest to the fact there is backlash. Not that some random graffiti would necessarily reflect a rise in hostility.
Part of it is just the usual conservative moral panic.
But what’s fueling the reactionary fires is all the transgender demands with regards to suppression of classic gender norms, the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for children.
It’s why even longtime progressives such as J.K. Rowling, Dave Chappelle, Ricky Gervais, Bill Maher etc. have decided to speak out against the trans movement.
And a particular example that hits close to home: one of my high-school female friends who would join me every time I participated at a pride march, this year she outright refused to attend the Pride event that will be held in Bulle this weekend.
Why? Because she can’t condone how the LGBT movement is blindly celebrating experimental therapies on kids who lack self-understanding of gender.
Let me make one thing clear before I start my essay: I support neither side! I don’t support pride month nor do I support the overwhelming hate against LGTBQ+ members. When I look at things from a distanced perspective, all I see are 2 groups in a vicious circle. Asking “which one started?” is like asking whether the chicken or the egg came first.
Because of the LGTBQ+ movements that were frankly very overdone in alot of cases, it’s not hard to understand why alot of people don’t appreciate a parade of people sprinkling colourful confetti and flags all over their cities and then taking the piss if someone uses the wrong pronouns. I’ve had an experience where someone shouted at me because I used the wrong pronouns even though I was only introduced to the person 10 minutes ago! So yes, I can understand that people who are new to the concept of LGTBQ+ and have a more conservative view on society would start to develop a dislike for LGTBQ+ members because currently the LGTBQ+ movement is undergoing a phase of extremism, where all common sense is thrown out the window and where the culture of crusading prevails. Many LGTBQ+ members will go out of their way to be toxic to somebody who hasn’t treated them the exact way they want to be treated. There are only a few LGTBQ+ members that I know that actually kindly correct you and try to work WITH you to get the pronouns right, which are also the only LGTBQ+ members that I choose to be friends with because they don’t nag when correcting you.
But why are some LGTBQ+ members so toxic and persistent? Because they are also overwhelmed by all the hate going on against them! So many people spray-paint on walls hating on the LGTBQ+ community that it is no surprise that the LGTBQ+ community had to stick together and fight back and fight for their well deserved rights! Heck, I heard stories from my brother in the military of soldiers jokingly contemplating shooting at the “hueresöhne”! That’s crazy and honestly scary that something like that is still being said considering all the experiences of horrible genocides of discrimination that humanity has had the chance to learn from! Why do the haters need to be so hateful and why does the LGTBQ+ community need to be so naggingly persistent? If both of them would just lower their weapons for one second, they’d both realise that with the other side longer threatening them, they also no longer have a reason to fight. Then everything would be fine! But sadly in reality noone has the guts to be the first to lower their weapons, so this continuous vicious circle will indefinitely continue — I just prefer to stay out of it
Maybe its because there are less than 1% of the population is part of the LGBTQ+ community but they get a lot of attention at the moment (like a whole pride month)
For some people it may be a little strange or they might have the impression, that this people reduce themselfes only on their sexuality.
Anyway, i think anyone should live as they like, no matter what religion, sexuality, skincolor or whatever they have. But in my opinion, it would be socialy more accepted, if this loud minority would appear a little more reserved. Acceptance can not be enforced.
Yo, what ever happened to live and let live?
Imagine being so miserable and insecure when a minority is enjoying one month of recognition.
And to those who invoke freedom of expression, I think you should take a look at the Penal Code, your “expression” has limits, hate speech is against the law.
Idk, I’m quite open minded, if that guy is so much into fucking LGBTQ+ (all of them?!) that he feels compelled to declare it to the world by graffiting a wall, well i respect his sexual choices and I hope he will find some LGBTQ+ who is equally happy to fuck him.
all the people saying covid was a hoax got bored
Because we give this minority way too much exposure.
We get it you want recognition.
But most of us don’t care, just do your thing in private.
And it could be a gay, an hetero, a wild boar who care. Same with religions.
But I don’t want to hear someone wanting a kid if they can’t naturally have one
I guess, that it originates from an overload of commercialised and instrumentalised LGBTQIA+ support, implying that politics, companies and the majority of population does not care for the problems and opinion of people outside this category. Some may see the reason for their situation is the existence of queer people, rather than the obession of our society with virtue signalling.
