Greetings r/latvia.

In Rezekne.
Go to Rezekne. Its 10x better and more festive because of locals. Daugavpils is 80% russians and dont festive, like true Latvians

They usually go to their family country house.
Daugavpils is One of the worst places where to celebrate at. Go to Rezekne insted
I would agree with my fellow latvians here, Daugavpils won’t be the best for celebrating Jāņi & Līgo. Rēzekne, however, as suggested, would be my preference. I used to live there, can confirm that there always are festivities during this time. Enjoy! The location that someone had posted already is accurate, expect a lot of people.
