The British Judiciary played a massive part in drafting the ECHR and creating the Court after WW2
The fact the UK want’s to now leave shows how far that Country has fallen from it’s own principles
I know everyone likes to bash the brits every chance they get but a lot of that stuff was already enshrined in British law before they joined the EU. Slavery specifically was outlawedacross Europe long before the EU and the ECHR was concieved of with more than a few wars fought to ensure that it was done. Sadly it still goes on today across Africa and Asia but the fact remains every western nation had it outlawed long before. They werent even trying on that one.
