NEW BERLIN — After 61 years in Oshkosh, the Miss Wisconsin Competition will now take place in New Berlin for a second straight year.
“It’s big for us from the standpoint of they had a lot of cities to pick from,” New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament said last year. “They liked the city, they liked the area. It’s exciting as heck for us to have them here.”
The competition will take place June 17-20 at the New Berlin West Performing Arts Center, with 31 women vying for the title of Miss Wisconsin 2026, according to a news release. Meanwhile, 23 women will compete for the title of Miss Wisconsin’s Teen 2026, with the winner being selected June 19.
The shows will feature Willow Newell, 23, of Racine, who was Miss Wisconsin 2025, and Natalie Popp, 18, of Fitchburg, Miss Wisconsin’s Teen 2025.
The festivities kick off June 14 with a meet-and-greet at the New Berlin Historical Society’s Open House from 2-4 p.m. The public will be able to meet Newell, Popp and all of this year’s contestants, according to the release. On June 15, a Miss Wisconsin Blood Drive will be held at New Berlin Public Library from 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Tickets for the Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin’s Teen competitions are available online at misswisconsin.org. The final competitions will also be live-streamed, according to the release.
