RTÉ ‘disappointed’ with Dublin Pride decision to end media partnership over Liveline coverage

  1. What’s surprising is the people who are shocked and criticising that Pride removed themselves. The comments under IG post of the ladsbible article about this was terrible

  2. Am I wrong in thinking that it would be a better to have just made a public complaint about what happened and ask for more knowledgeable people to take part in the debate?

Im all for trans rights and everything, but the whole LGBTQ discussions seem to always dissolve into one side throwing out all reason and just shouting that they’re right. At least from the leaders of these groups.

  3. I listened to the show and all was good from both sides nothing nasty wats so ever, stupid move from Dublin Pride they should be ashamed of themselves and say sorry to RTE.

  4. Loads of non profits advocate for the people they represent. Youth charities, homeless charities etc but if they’re linked to a national institution such as RTE no one cares so whats the difference here? Non profits aim to make life better for those they represent, why would they stay in partnership with somewhere who facilitated views that didn’t line up with their ethos. I work for a youth organisation if we were partnered with a business for fund raising and they came out and said they were for child labour we’d distance and remove ourselves also because it doesn’t match our ethos as an organisation.
