They could have applied for asylum in any of the safe, stable, European countries they passed through but didn’t… which means they’re coming here not because they _need_ to, but merely because they _want_ to.
We should absolutely be accepting those who _need_ to come here… but those who just _want_ to come here should pass through the immigration system like any other prospective immigrant. Our asylum system is being abused by people who throw their documents in the channel/destroy/“lose” them in order to make them impossible to deport.
Here we go. Idiots claiming U.K. is so rich and powerful the whole world will flood in. You have to be risking being shot to actually choose this as a destination.
