Imagine being dead for over a year and no one missing you, its extremely sad.

Man that’s beyond awful.
Horrible that nobody there missed them or even thought to check in on them.
Really heartbreaking, particularly knowing the one with health issues may have been stuck there to die after their partner had died. An awful thought. RIP
Sad situation but I’ve seen similar but not as bad outcomes over the years of people retiring to the countryside where they know no one and are not of an age to join clubs and or be actively involved in anything local where friendships can be formed.
I had a widowed aunt return from England and she made a massive effort to get to know neighbours and their families and she was well looked after by everyone around her, but I’ve known of few English retirees who’ve moved to isolated rural settings just to be left alone. I can easily see how this happened.
May this pose as a reminder to always check on your elderly neighbours 😞 this is such a sad situation
