Russia and Belarus are perpetually poised to utilize all necessary measures, including nuclear weaponry, to maintain security, as stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin in a recent interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
Galuzin disclosed in comments released on Tuesday that Russia stations military forces within Belarus and the two countries regularly participate in joint readiness assessments.
“We maintain a constant state of readiness to deploy all measures, including nuclear capabilities, to safeguard the security of the Union State,” he asserted, referencing the comprehensive alliance between Russia and Belarus concerning political, security, and economic matters.
