Sarah Kellen, who worked as Jeffrey Epstein‘s personal assistant for more than a decade beginning in 2001, has publicly described visits to British royal residences for the first time.
Testifying before the U.S. House Oversight Committee, Kellen said she dined in Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s private apartment at Buckingham Palace and attended Princess Beatrice‘s 18th birthday party at Windsor Castle.
Kellen stated, “Prince Andrew was at the New York house. We also went to Andrew’s private apartment at Buckingham Palace for dinner. And we were at Princess Beatrice’s party at Windsor Castle.”
Beatrice turned 18 in August 2006, placing the event in the summer of that year.
Kellen said she never witnessed the former Duke of York behaving inappropriately and did not identify him as one of the men she alleges s******* abused her. When Committee counsel Brittany Brignac asked whether she had seen “any inappropriate behaviour” from individuals including the former prince, Kellen replied no.

Testimony before congress
Kellen described how Epstein groomed, s******* and psychologically abused, controlled, manipulated, dominated and gaslit her until she could no longer distinguish her own thoughts from his influence.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer called Kellen’s testimony “by far the most substantive, productive interview” conducted by the committee.
“She was very brave coming forward. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for her to go into detail about the abuse that she endured at the hands of Epstein and Maxwell,” Comer said. He added that he believed Kellen was a victim.
Court documents and testimony in related cases have portrayed Kellen as a key logistical figure in Epstein’s trafficking operation. During Ghislaine Maxwell‘s sentencing, a federal judge described her as “criminally responsible.” Kellen, however, maintains she was also a victim and survivor of Epstein’s abuse.

Kellen’s testimony also referenced meetings involving Prince Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
She told the committee she may have “organized meetings at Jeffrey’s office in Palm Beach, Florida, while he was on work release [from prison] and at the house in Palm Beach” for Ferguson.
Speaking about the former prince, Kellen said, “We also went to Andrew’s private apartment at Buckingham Palace for dinner. And we were at Princess Beatrice’s party at Windsor Castle.”
The BBC contacted Buckingham Palace for comment and was directed to an October 2025 statement attributed to King Charles and Queen Camilla.

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,” the statement read.
Comer said the Department of Justice did not appear to view Kellen as a co-conspirator, but rather as someone who assisted in Epstein’s prosecution. Kellen also told the committee she was unaware her name had been included in Epstein’s 2007 non-prosecution agreement until that information became public.
