Eurowind Energy Romania, a Danish company specializing in the development, construction and operation of renewable energy parks, has received construction permits for the Siminoc hybrid wind-solar project in Constanța County, Romania. The project has an estimated investment of €65 million (~ $ 75.04 million) and is supported by Romania’s Contracts for Difference scheme. Eurowind Energy A/S, a Hobro-headquartered renewable energy project developer, operates in Romania through Eurowind Energy Romania. The Siminoc project will have 49.6 MW of total capacity which is split equally between 24.8 MW of wind and 24.8 MW of solar. Annual output is estimated at 120 GWh equivalent to the yearly consumption of over 50,000 households. The construction works are planning to start in 2027 and with commissioning scheduled for 2028. Battery storage equipment may be finalized during the procurement phase.
