ROME CITY, Ind. (WPTA) – A Noble County community is rallying behind the Sterzman family after they lost their son.
Sunday, 9-year-old Tucker Kerzman died. One week before that, he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
Since his death, some people have wanted to help his family, including people at Sundaes on Sylvan.
From now through Saturday night, workers at Sundaes on Sylvan are collecting donations for the Kerzman family. Any East Noble school corporation student who donates will get a free soft serve.
Shop manager Sierra Dager said supporting the Kerzman family is a no-brainer.
“It hurts your heart to see a family go through something so tragic. I can’t imagine the emotions that they’re going through, losing a child at nine years old,” she said. “It’s truly tragic and traumatic.”
Cash donations can be made now through Saturday at Sundaes on Sylvan. The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
