I need to provide this for a few activities, including periods when I held a job position (ULB mentions I can’t use a contract so I have to use this declaration) and for when I didn’t do any activity. I can’t seem to find any relevant examples on the internet.
If I get this right, ULB wants to make sure that you did not do any non-academic activities for the past 5 years. If you only worked for the ULB you can say you did not do any non-academic activities. If you had a side hustle while doing academic work, you need to declare it as they consider it a distraction from your academic work.
E.g. A PhD researcher for FWO is allowed a maximum of 20% of their work time to be spent on something that is not their PhD research, which can be courses, teaching, administration, clinical stuff, internships, guiding practicals,… all of which have to be declared and approved as relevant to the PhD’s education.
