  1. Really small sample size and very early to tell but from what I gather in general Christodoulides seems like the odds on favourite by a comfort margin. Whatever happens I hope that the outcome will be the best for Cyprus. I know it’s a cliche but the next elections are so important. I don’t think I’m making up my mind any time soon.

  2. Our political elite (opposition parties) has decided (alone) that in these elections political positions don’t matter, only the candidate as a person matters. Christodoulides and Mayroyiannis play the same game for Diko ansd Akel trying to “steal” votes from Disy. Especially when it comes to the cy prob, they both answer with bs to pass around the issue. Christodoulides says “we won’t sit here negotiate among ourselves”, meaning he won’t address the disagreement points between Diko and Anastasiades around BBF negotiations. Mayroyiannis said [today](https://youtu.be/bvYfSRmuWnM) , that this is not the time to express his critique against Anastasiades. On social issues, no one has specific proposals, not even a declared left wing or right wing ideology in economics.

I really don’t know why people trust Christodoulides that much tbh. The more i hear him speak the more clownish seems to me.

  3. IMR also has a poll. These are pretty old (1 month ago), and there was a debate when they were published. Mavroyiannis has not declared candidacy and DHKO has not endorsed Christodoulides yet so this is definitely very early, but it’s indicative of some high level of support for Christodoulides, although it will be highly unlikely he can preserve his appeal to pro-government and anti-government voters.

  4. I’ve been seeing pictures of that nick guy what seems like forever, has he been president as long as putin?
