Madeline Carter of Harrison County Soil & Water said career opportunities in conservation and agriculture extend beyond traditional roles.
“When I was growing up, my dad told me, if you go into biology, you’re going to be in a lab, a doctor or a ranger,” Carter said. “There are so many more opportunities within those career fields between conservation and agriculture.”
