What Happened?
Between Nov. 13 and Nov. 18, 2025, Paylogix experienced a significant cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to its computer systems.
The attack was reportedly carried out by the ransomware group Akira, which claimed responsibility on Jan. 15, 2026, via a posting on the Tor network. The group stated it obtained approximately 185 GB of data, including sensitive information about employees and clients.
Paylogix confirmed that certain files were copied from its network during the breach. The company’s investigation revealed that a wide range of sensitive personal information may have been exposed.
