Like, this is the real Brexit that needs to happen. A lot of stuff needs to come out the British museum and go back to where it came from. And in lieu of the rent it owes for the money made while holding those objects, Britain can forgive some international loans.
Does it really matter who has the original and who has the copy?
The way I see it, they’ll be returned eventually. Whether it’s next year or a hundred, the Greeks just need a single Prime Minister that’s sympathetic to them and push the matter forward.
Just needs to happen once, and after all, time is on their side. Might as well get it over sooner rather than later.

For reference the “new poll” is from 2017 (https://yougov.co.uk/topics/arts/survey-results/daily/2017/08/15/309e3/2) the numbers are also 55%/21% not 56%/20%
