Weekly recap and defense strategy
Russia is delivering hundreds of strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities, daily attacking our civilian infrastructure. This week alone, Russians fired at Ukraine 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs, and 17 missiles of various types. The response to these strikes must become stronger. We are preparing for meetings with partners to bolster our defense against this Russian terror
– Volodymyr Zelensky
He noted that three summits – G7, the EU, and NATO – are ahead, and it is very important that these negotiations conclude with concrete decisions.
First and foremost, we need support for air defense and our long-range capabilities, expanding cooperation in the Drone Deals format, and further strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia. We must end this war with dignity and with guaranteed security. And precisely thanks to the strength, unity of partners, and pressure on Russia this can be done in the long term
– Volodymyr Zelensky
According to the president, the priorities are strengthening air defense, developing long-range capabilities, and increasing cooperation with partners in the Drone Deals format, as well as further intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia to end the war on secure terms.
Also, today, June 14, Russian forces struck Dnipro; seven people were injured, and a light industrial facility sustained damage.
Zelensky stressed that for Ukraine’s victory a coordinated international support and a firm stance of the international community are needed to bring this war to an end on terms of security and stability for Ukraine and the region.
