People, we made it on the world stage. Just hope we don’t run out of it on the island with summer and watermelons here.

I mean this is the UK who we’ve already indoctrinated into the Halloumi cult, so they’ll probably be all over this.
I’m curious to see how well they’d do in countries that don’t have a largish Cypriot diaspora.
But it’s the UK.. If it was some country less familiar with Cyprus like France or Canada, then we could say we’ve made it
I’m amused about how the UK, the land of Brexit, has dishes inspired by Spain France and Cyprus… Three European countries.
I’ve got a friend who is French and I’ve converted to halloumi, but if you’re in France it’s way more difficult.
I live in Paphos. I have NOT seen Halloumi Fries. Why not?
Halloumi is something different as it was until recently not a protected item legally so anyone could make it and given it can withstand a lot more than usual cheeses it’s become a staple for here in the UK for it to be a thing for the bbq range in the supermarkets.
Tried various Halloumi crap from the supermarkets with the Mrs who is cypriot and generally got a 5 out of 10 at best and a sleep on the sofa for the worst shallwe say.
