I mean, yes? West Germany once had the same role. It’d be absurdely hard to stop a an invasion right at the border, even without taking the Suwalki Gap into consideriation. They’d take territory, we’d then hopefully take it back eventually. Not sure what realistically could be done to solve this.
More troops in the Baltics are a good idea for additional deterrence, but assuming an all out war against a *competent* Russia, it still wouldn’t change this.
well, yes, supposedly any war with Russia will go on in Europe, because as soon as the first NATO tank enters the territory of Russia, then Putin, pissed out of fear, will launch nuclear missiles at his country. that’s just what Estonia is afraid of, all the strongest and most trained soldiers of Russia are dead or have been storming a town with a population of 500 for 3 months. the marines of the Baltic fleet are now under the city of raisins, and he will not use nuclear weapons, this is immediately the end of the man who Dosih is trying to pretend that he is part of world politics and is trying to build an image would not use doomsday weapons. he needs it so that no one dares to enter his country.
