UPDATE: Authorities have announced a reward for up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of Chancelor Lamar Crawford, who remains wanted in connection with a homicide investigation.
The reward is being offered by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force as investigators continue their search for Crawford.
Crawford is described as a 25-year-old Black male, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds.
Anyone with information about Crawford’s whereabouts is urged to call 706-252-0876 or 911. Authorities stress that the public should not approach or attempt to apprehend him.
PREVIOUS STORY: The Rome Police Department has identified an armed and dangerous suspect in the murder of a 22-year-old man outside of a dollar store on North Broad Street on April 19.
Police say they secured a felony murder warrant for Chancelor Lamar Crawford, 25, for his involvement in the death of Chancellore Jabez Donaldson. He is not yet in custody.
“Our investigators are actively working to locate Chancelor Lamar Crawford and are asking for the public’s immediate assistance in determining his whereabouts.”
Authorities believe Crawford could be in Northwest Georgia or the Metro Atlanta area. Police say he should not be approached or confronted.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Rome Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find out who shot and killed a man outside of a dollar store on North Broad Street.
It happened early Sunday morning, April 19.
First responders found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. After paramedics transported him to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
His name will not be released until his family is notified.
Police say they need assistance locating the “person responsible for this senseless act of violence.”
“We know there were numerous people in the area at the time of the shooting. Someone saw something. If you were there, have photos or video, or know anything at all about what heppened, now is the time to come forward.”
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or the anonymous crime tip line at 706-236-5000.
“Even the smallest detail could be critical in helping investigators bring the suspect into custody,” the agency stated.
