Neighbors of a man now charged with conspiracy to commit murder in a plot to kill government officials at a UFC fight on the White House lawn are sharing more details about a Saturday raid at the man’s house near Kidder.Daniel Eskridge, 32, is facing a federal charge of conspiracy to commit murder on White House grounds. KMBC 9 Investigates spoke with two neighbors on Wednesday who said they saw multiple federal agents, vehicles and equipment at Eskridge’s home, just north of U.S. 36 Highway on Saturday.Neighbor Richard Wagoner talked about the large law enforcement presence during the raid.”They were ready for battle,” Wagoner said. “And they came in two battering rams, so they meant business.”Eskridge is one of five men now arrested and charged in connection with a planned attack on the Ultimate Fighting Championship Freedom 250 event at the White House.Wagoner said he did not know Eskridge but said he saw him often with his family outside.”He’s got a nice cross out in front of his house, and he supposedly is a religious guy,” Wagoner said. “I don’t know what God he’s running with.” Another neighbor who did not want to be identified said he also saw a large presence of police on Saturday morning.FBI investigators identified Eskridge as one of several conspirators in the group that allegedly discussed killing members of Congress and other well-known figures, using online chats to coordinate.The group reportedly planned to use drones to deploy explosives.Eskridge was allegedly part of conversations planning an attack, including encouraging the group to pitch in money to purchase “drones and charges.”A photo allegedly shared by Eskridge showed tactical equipment, and a federal search warrant on his residence resulted in the seizure of rifles, a shotgun, pistol and other tactical gear.
