I don’t really think we can say there’s just one Iberian economy, the same way there’s just one Italian economy.
For one, Italy’s one country instead of three.
The main product of the only area over 145 is “snow”.
It’s all about location, being closer to the heart of Europe instantly attracts more businesses.

Actually the data by provinces are falsified, an example The Ford factory is in Valencia but the fiscal headquarters are in Madrid, some add up and others subtract, the multinationals have their headquarters in Madrid and Barcelona
