guys please help, so here’s the thing my car was stolen here in tampere and up until now there is no clue who stole it or where it is now my insurance company IF is not gonna pay me what should I do 😔

1. I assume that it is mentioned somewhere in terms and conditions of your insurance that they don’t pay if car is left unattended with keys inside.

2. Wait and hope for the best? Insurance obviously not eager to pay out when the car had been left unlocked with keys inside.

3. You left the keys in the car – no insurance will cover that.

   Best you can do is sit tight and wait. Who knows, maybe it will turn up if the thief is an idiot and gets caught. I assume you need a car for work and normal life activities?

   You left the car unlocked with the keys in the car, no insurance company is covering that.

9. I have had a car stolen also, and even though the perp was known the police didn’t do anything about it. That was a few years ago and I still have no idea where the car is or if it even exists anymore.

   So, sad to say I’m not thinking your chances look very good. All the best though, it’s a major pain.

10. No insurance company worth their salt and sugar will pay if you leave your keys in the car and actually admit you left them in the car. Sorry about your car though but maybe you’ll learn from this.

11. One thing you can do is keep an eye to sites such as Tori.fi and Nettiauto and see if your car comes to sale there.

    For 40€ you can get a tracker with a two year subscription from dyegoo

    Saved my car once already. (On the day I installed the gps no less)

14. This just reminds of an incident I faced about ten years ago and in Tampere. My car was locked. And for some reasons the car key was found by some miscreant in my apartment staircase. Then, the car was stolen and it was fucking burned to ashes.

    The police said that they did not question any neighbors and that they informed me, they were waiting for someone to come and confess the crime.

    The insurance didn’t pay a dime, even if it was an accident. I understand your pain OP. But the system also sucks.

16. This happens in big cities. Never leave anything unattended

17. Same thing if you leave your backpack unattended and it gets stolen – no payment.
