Four upgraded checkpoints and a new service zone promise faster crossings and better rest conditions for drivers on the Moldova route.
The Recovery Agency has completed work on upgrading four border checkpoints and establishing a service zone at the Moldova border.
The Telegram channel of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery – the Minister of Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, reports the completion of upgrading four border checkpoints on the Moldova section.
In the Odesa region, the modernization of border checkpoints “Starokozache – Tudora”, “Dolynske – Chishmikioy”, “Lisne – Seits” and “Maloyaroslavets 1 – Chadyr-Lunga” has been completed

Updated infrastructure and service zones
According to Kuleba, at the facilities the infrastructure has been modernized, new modular buildings have been installed, backup power sources, modern lighting, updated engineering networks, pedestrian zones, and improved conditions for border and customs services.
Construction of a modern service zone near the Reni – Giurgiulesti border checkpoint on the Odessa – Reni highway has also been completed. The site is designed for 46 trucks and 13 passenger cars. Here, drivers have comfortable rest facilities, with lighting, water supply, drainage, and barrier-free infrastructure.
Projects are being implemented with the support of the European Union under the Paths of Solidarity initiative.
The Cabinet of Ministers has also approved securing a loan of 96 million euros to continue implementing the road network improvement project under the EU Paths of Solidarity initiative.
Thus, the upgraded infrastructure and service zones enhance throughput and driver comfort at the Ukrainian–Moldovan border segment.
