Paper pickup is every 2 weeks so that’s how long it’s been since this started. I don’t know Germany bees so what should I expect? Texas has mean wasps. When I lifted the lid to place more paper they flew but didn’t attack. I to need to roll this out the gate. They look like they’re … sleeping now?

Can you show me the Nest? Looks like “feldwespen” and they are super friendly. But you shouldnt move the bin.
I think these are wasps, they sting and its quite painful but not life threatening unless you are allergic. It’s best to leave them alone if you can.
But especially in late summer they can be really annoying because they are attracted by food so whenever eating outdoors they come and are not very shy.
Those are wasps and some of them like to build nests in old tree trunks and the blaue Tonne because of the cellulose. If I were in your situation I would be scared since I am allergic and would contact the landlord or Hausverwaltung
wasps, they are dicks, if they were just standing there they were probably too hot/cold to fly or something, they will sting you if you seem even vaguely threatening
