I thought we did that a decade ago. We definitely had a good few hotspots.
A decade too late as usual. Pretty much everyone has perfectly adequate data on their phones now.

In the day and age you are told to never connect to free WiFi
I can see major security difficulties with this. I never trust an open connection.

Like every other time they’ve announced this over the last decade it probably won’t actually happen
I’ve always wondered why those lads who ask for spare change don’t invest in one of those little square card payment readers you can get from curry’s. Now they have the Wi-Fi to support them. I’d consider giving them a euro if they had a card machine and make it convenient for us.
God that’ll come in handy when half the country is living on the streets in a few years
