  1. Lock it down. Quell the airports , spend at home, staycation, work from home lower the demand for fuel. Restore order ! LOCKDOWN BABY!!

  2. I love the anti lock down conspiracy comments that come out whenever an article comes out about covid. Not pro lock down and definitely not pro this government but lads, all this article says is where a mask. I got covid last week, I’m in an at risk group, and it’s not just a bloody flu.
So for all of us in those categories please spare a thought and calm the vitriol down a tad, wear a mask and maybe don’t cough on me in Tesco. Cheers.

  3. I’m not waiting for this shower of morons to instruct me on what they previously instructed. I wear a mask in public places, keep a distance when possible and continue to wash my hands. In work we keep the windows opened.

  4. Everyone in my house caught covid a few days ago. We were socializing and going out happily with no issues, and suddenly struck us.

  5. Haven’t stopped wearing FFP2 masks in public transport. Rather not breathe in other people’s Covid or none Covid germs.

Edit: Got to love that I’m being downvoted for wanting to protect my own health. How dare I?

  6. There’s no point really, there’s too many settings where masks aren’t required so introducing mandatory mask wearing on public transport is pointless. If you have to wear a mask on the bus, but can take it off as soon as the bus drops you at the pub, or the concert or wherever you’re going, what is the point?

We’re at a stage where people are getting Covid again because boosters are waring off and people who had it at Christmas are losing their immunity. Are we supposed to keep bringing back restrictions every 6 months? Doesn’t make sense.

Restrictions and lockdowns only work at stopping the spread if everything is shut down, and I can’t envisage a world where people accept a full scale lockdown anymore. The advice should be, if you want to wear a mask, wear one. If you’ve a fear of catching Covid, then just stay inside and hide away. We’ve moved on from this and we just have to live with it.

  7. If this happens I’m actually going to cry. Like a lot. Like probably too much over a piece of cloth but I just finished addressing the problems that the last couple years have posed and I don’t want to have to do the whole dance again.

  8. 8 kids in my sons class caught COVID in the past week. Symptoms started with diarrhea, then feeling tired. Many of the kids were double vaccinated and most of them already had covid too.

  9. Putting them back on public transport is probably the easiest one to bring back imo. You’re sitting in an enclosed environment for maybe an hour each way on the way to work etc. Not really much of an inconvenience to wear a mask for that sort of setting.

  10. Maks make very little sense and are absolutely pointless in an enclosed space where you spend long periods of time with little to no fresh air. When everyone is swimming in the same recycled soup we call air on public transport masks wont do anything as covid passes right through all but the best quality masks aka N95 style masks with decent filters attached. And even they only filter out 95% of particles if theyre worn properly which is almost unheard of.

  11. Is it gonna be N95s or will bullshit masks we have worn for 2 years while they proved to be non effective be accepted too?

  12. News stories like these are why I don’t watch the news or follow it anymore. Nothing but a constant barrage of doom and gloom.
