I have a [2008 Twingo GT](https://kepvodor.com/img/teapsin2skjlp6movn4f10d45reqn8p.jpg) that I want to modify, and I’m having a bit of trouble finding a workshop that will do it. After messaging and calling around to a few different places without success, I’m asking here in the hope that someone can recommend a place. Close to Budapest or Kecskemet would be nice, but I don’t mind to travel a bit if necessary.
The first thing I would like to do is replace clutch with a stronger one (current clutch need replacement anyway) and the gearbox with one that has longer gears (replacing the JH3-169 gearbox in it now with, for example, a JH3-150 or JH3-132 out of a Kangoo or Clio). I can even provide the parts (ordered from the internet), but I would prefer if the mechanic is able to find them locally. If the shop is willing to actually get in the internals of the gearbox and do stuff like install a sperr diffi and do cryo treatment of the gears, that would be awesome, but I’m okay with just a simple gearbox swap.
After that, I would like to go for some more power. The car currently has a chiptune and some other modifications from the previous owner. I would like to install a front-mount intercooler, larger fuel injectors, and a new tune (on a rolling road).
If anyone knows a single workshop that can do both the transmission work and the engine work, that would be convenient, but I don’t mind going to different places for the transmission work and the engine work.
While I don’t expect it, if someone there speaks English, it would be nice. Asking my poor wife to translate a discussion about the difference between plate type and helical gear limited slip differentials doesn’t go so well. I can actually understand a lot of Hungarian, especially car related, but I have trouble speaking. It’s not a huge deal, but it would be nice.
Before someone asks, “Why are you bothering modifying a Twingo? Why not just buy a different car that’s already faster/more comfortable/etc.?”, the answer is that I already did buy another car, and it is better in every objective measure than my Twingo, but when it came time to sell the Twingo, I just couldn’t do it. I like it too much, and there’s not another car that I would like more. So, I’m going to sell the other car and want to modify the Twingo to address my only major complaint (gears are too short) and to make it the “best” Twingo GT that it could be.
Thanks for any suggestions!

This kind of stuff is pretty much DIY in Hungary, not a lot of customers (who can pay for it) for actual performance tuning/race car building, very few shops specialize in this. The only people I know of who do this is [Havassy Motorsport](http://www.havassy-motorsport.hu/), maybe they can help you, or point you in the right direction.
The reason people might tell you to buy a car that is, well, better, is that it’s very hard to get the necessary paperwork done for actual road use. You can build the best race car, but NKH will most likely say that it’s not roadworthy.
Try Renault Sport Hun facebook group, they can help.
Red Sun Service maybe, but they mostly work on Japanase cars.
There’s also an another guy but he has 4 year long waiting list.
Is your Twingo supercharged? Fuel injection and ecu mapping alone aren’t do much difference.
Maybe a small compressor or turbo with 0.4 bars would be enough and you don’t have to change engine internals.
Yeah and also for sperr diff, check gearbox.hu Slezák have really good torsen diffs and also its available. My MR2 has a built gearbox as well and its amazing.
