  1. >the “rot and rule-breaking” had spread “through this Tory government ~~to~~ from the very top”

Ftfy, Labour. It spreads out from Bojo himself.

  2. When you have a dodgy, habitual liar in charge of a cabinet of dodgy, habitually lying muppets, why would anyone expect a high quality government?

First, we had Dodgy “oink, oink” Dave and Gideon, who inflicted unnecessary austerity and brought us the chaos of Brexit, which later descended into anything but “strong and stable” May, followed by the clown Prince de Piffle and his entourage of venal, authoritarian nutcases.

    Worst government ever (TM).

  3. Well because he’s a criminal I’ve started to do some crime. I’m been serious too. Three months ago I’d had enough as he’s getting 100k plus bribes per year to sit on his arse on do nothing but lie and directly kill our own citizens with incompetence. So now I’m growing a lil weed plant for myself so I don’t have to pay my dealers as Boris has broke the economy so badly I’m one of those “in-work poverty”

  4. Boris Johnson has survived a vote of no confidence by a 40 to 60 percent vote, despite being the worst Prime Minister we’ve ever had in modern history.

Hell no will his dissenters rebel against the party and vote down any legislation he tries to put through Parliament. That would actually require a backbone, which we’ve all established by now that Tories lack.

To be honest the absolute best thing we can hope for is a 2024 Labour landslide, and that very well could happen if the cost of living crisis escalates further.

  5. It’s pure corruption and the precedent has unfortunately now been set for future governments

That was always the concern and the worry and Parliament/tory mps have watched on and allowed it to happen

The next concern now is will our public services maintain integrity and standards. From NHS, to the courts, to DVLA, to civil service, to land registry- you name it. They are all at the end of their tether and no work gets done

  6. At this point the Tories might aswell declare the UK autocratic because they fucking act like it is. What the Tories do is what the oligarchs in Russia do which is “no money goes to anyone but me.”

And because the Tories are only upset because they got caught to me means they would prefer it if they were sole rulers of the country.

  7. Well, we all know that Corruption starts at the top, then it’s tentacles spreads out like a virus, infecting the minds of who it connects with, then they all have to cover for each other, when the source of the virus is investigated, which then starts pointing to the sole carrier of that virus of corruption. One bad apple at the top of the pile, oozing out corruption to every apple beneath it.

  8. If you get off once then another 28x really don’t matter. I think the bent coppers at the met already said no more fines for government perps.

  9. I thought that being a habitual criminal and general piece of shit was part of the Tory application process?

  10. Only way we’ll get rid of this ass clown is to take a lesson from our Dutch friends and drag him into the street

  11. Personally, I believe it spread from the top down, and connected with all the other various bits of rot as it sank to the bottom.

  12. Isn’t the queen at the “very top” of the government there?

Did the Mirror just accuse the queen of “rot and rule breaking”?

  13. It’s predominantly Civil Servants (the ultimate oxymoron…) who were caught breaking lockdown and oddly, selling that story to the media (who also have blatantly broken the lockdown)….

  14. Maybe things have got slightly worse, but in general people with power always bend the rules. politicians, industry leaders, bosses at work, police, members of the royal family …… on and on. Power corrupts. Sadly for all the rules introduced, laws, ombudsmen etc their are people who just think they can get away with it, and all too often they are right.

  15. Boris Johnson is the dead eel in the water pump, poisoning everything and everyone he comes into contact with.
