For those wondering, the Live On Tapes are recorded in studios of the home broadcaster, and shown at Eurovision in case an artist can’t attend in person. Basically a very early backup.
The footage from rehearsal shows replaces Live On Tapes, they are specifically done early in case the artist can’t travel or something.
They are usually very rough, but give great opportunity to show an artists progression. This obviously evolved hugely in the arena and became amazing.
