The European Commission affirmed Ukraine’s right to self-defense after Zelensky demanded Belarus remove drone relay stations near the border.
In the context of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s warning about the need to remove signal relays that assist Russian drones in striking Ukraine, the European Commission stated that Ukraine has the full right to self-defense.

She also stressed that Belarus is provoking the EU, notably by violating airspace and using migration as a tool of pressure.

EU Actions and Response
According to official data, on June 19 Zelenskyy urged Belarus to dismantle the signal relays for Russian drones deployed near the Ukrainian border.
Yesterday, June 21, Zelensky said that the Belarusian authorities have so far not responded to Ukraine’s demand to switch off the relays used to direct strikes on the country’s territory.
The European Commission reaffirmed support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and the right to self-defense, as well as readiness to apply additional restrictive measures in response to Minsk’s further provocative actions.
The EU remains firmly in support of Ukraine and its right to defend itself, ready for further steps in response to new actions by the Belarusian authorities.
