MAULDIN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – GE Vernova Park is hosting a free watch party on Thursday night when Team USA faces off against Türkiye in the World Cup.
Officials said gates will open at 9 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 10 p.m.
Soccer fans will have the opportunitiy ot watch the match live on the stadium’s giant jumbotron.
Guests are invited to relax on the pitch with blankets and lawn chairs or watch the match from the grandstands.
While admission to the watch party is free, guests are encouraged to RSVP in advance. Registration helps organizers accurately plan staffing levels, concession inventory, vendor support and the overall guest experience, according to organizers.
Organizers said outside food and drinks will not be permitted inside the stadium.
“We want this to be a special night for our community,” said Trey Kolak, Acting General Manager of GE Vernova Park. “By RSVPing, fans help us prepare the best possible experience while allowing our vendors and staff to be ready for the crowds expected on Thursday night.”
