NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The owner of a Nashville nightclub has pleaded guilty to selling methamphetamine and cocaine from inside his business.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee said in a press release on Monday that 38-year-old Rimon Salim, the owner and operator of Club Miami, entered his guilty plea earlier in the day.
“Salim’s nightclub became a marketplace for methamphetamine,” U.S. Attorney Braden Boucek said. “Business owners who illegally profit from the distribution of dangerous narcotics contribute to the serious problem that devastates families and communities across Tennessee.”
Court documents show that between February and March 2025, the FBI used confidential informants to uncover the operations. Prosecutors say they were equipped with audio and video recording devices while they entered the premises.
On Feb. 23, 2025, prosecutors say Salim sold nearly 28 grams of meth to a confidential informant, and that lab testing later confirmed that the drug was 94% pure. Less than two weeks later, he sold roughly 55 grams of cocaine to an informant as well. In that transaction, prosecutors say Salim weighed the drugs on a scale inside the club’s bathroom.
The Antioch nightclub was raided in the early hours of March 30, 2025.
On Monday, Salim pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, one involving meth and one involving cocaine. His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 21, during which time he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on each count.
