Joshua Passolt, former Hayward youth hockey player from 2002-2011 and NCAA Division One Western Michigan University player 2017-2022, played for the top tier professional Nitra Hockey Club in the Slovakian Extra league this season. Passolt helped HK Nitra to the Slovakian Championship trophy, as they won the final series 4 games to 3 in an overtime thriller. Joshua was at the top of the team’s scoring chart with 27 goals and 28 assists in 73 league and play-off games this past season.
