Hello there! I and my friends have been in Kaunas for a week now and we did quite a few seeing around. Today we want to go to Vilnius but we don’t know much about where to go and see could you recommend some places that we must see?

  1. (i don’t actually live in Vilnius)

I feel like the main tourist attractions in Vilnius are Katedros Aikštė and Trijų Kryžių Kalnas (you should definitely climb up there, you’ll see the entire Vilnius from there). I also like Literatų street, it has a very cool memorial for Lithuanian authors.

I personally think that Užupis is a very beautiful part of Vilnius (it’s close to both of Katedros Aikštė and Trijų Kryžių Kalnas) so i recommend talking a walk there.

Šv. Onos Church is also kinda worth seeing. This is kinda random, but legend has it that in 1812, when Napoleon was marching to Russia and back through Lithuania, he saw Šv. Onos Church and said that he wished he could put it in his palm it and take it to France with him bc the church was so beautiful.

You can look up @laumeieva on TikTok for more ideas, its an account that’s mostly about beautiful places and good cafes in Vilnius.
