The most unfaithful nationalities

  1. “who have admitted having an affair” is the key here. Many people wouldn’t admit something like that even if it cost their lives. Just like most closeted gays who got married with women would never say that they have affairs with other gays.

  2. Almost half of everyone married has *admitted* to cheating, so the actual number is even higher. These are some sad stats.

  3. Im surprised and shocked by Denmark. How the hell did they beat France? That country basically makes a religion out of having mistresses.

  4. I mean… Germany in front of Spain when it comes to affairs? That makes no sense. Maybe my fellow Germans lied or were super honest and the rest didn’t were very honest. Who did they ask? I can’t actually believe that so many people in Germany have affairs. When it comes to that many people are kinda boring and traditional. When I was in Spain, people were super open about that… 😀

  5. How do we know that they are unfaithful?

Does the question “having an affair” imply that the spouse is not informed and ok with it?

Though I must admit, 36 even for the lowest surveyed is … wow, surprising.

  6. I mean i can understand Thailand: you marry a beautifull girl but in the wedding night you find out its a beautiful man you married so you go sleep around with girls which technically is out of marriage.

But italian gigolo losing to [incomprehensible danish](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvtDGSIrsk8) is something i cannot believe.

The one category i thought S Europe will finally dominate the north on… rip

  7. the word “admitted” is to be underlined. Polish people (as much as any other deeply catholic folks) are pretty unfaithful tmk. but they rarely confess it openly (again, due to catholic hypocrisy). It’s the same here in Italy. Admitting being an unfaithful coward, thus insulting your own religion, is somehting religious people rarely does

  8. I remember when my neighbor who was 50y old teacher back then asked me for help to set up a dating account on one of the local platforms and keep it in secret between us. Dude, you are using the same PC as ur wife and you have no idea, how to clear your history…

  9. Everybody is commenting about the honesty of responses, but the real problem there is that it only shows affairs of *married* couples rather than long-term relationships in general. For Estonia and other countries with a lot of civil partnerships compared to marriages, the actual proportion of cheaters would be unknown if the question pertains only to marriage.

  10. All countries in South East Asia are on the same level than Thailand, if not even worse. It’s just not measured.

After 5 years in Cambodia, I understood that unfaithfulness, as crushing it is for the wife, is simply something they have to deal with, sooner or later. And since the wife is unlikely to divorce for social and material reasons, there is no incentive for the men to stop.
