US soccer fans were out in full force at Boston’s City Hall Plaza as the men’s national team prepares to take on Turkiye in their World Cup match on Thursday night.While the outcome of the game doesn’t mean much since the US has already advanced, fans were hopeful about what’s to come.”Definitely already looking forward to next weekend,” one fan said. “Tonight’s kind of a low pressure game, just can kind of enjoy it.”Down at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Norway and France are preparing for their big matchup on Friday.”It’s super exciting, we’ve been looking forward to this for eight years, we’re going to Norway-France tomorrow so that should be a blast, so we’re just having a good time,” one fan said.The French team has been practicing at Bentley University while the team stays in downtown Boston.Fans were hoping to catch a glimpse of players like Kylian Mbappé.France-Norway kicks off at 3 p.m. on Friday.Boston Stadium will host only two more games after this week. It will host Germany vs. an undetermined opponent on Monday at 4:30 p.m.The last game in Foxborough will be next Thursday at 4 p.m., with both teams to be determined.
