    > LONDON, June 12 (Reuters) – Britain is set to break international law by bringing forward legislation to unilaterally change the Northern Ireland protocol that governs trade after Brexit, the president of Ireland’s Sinn Fein party said on Sunday.
    >
    > Mary Lou McDonald said there were mechanisms to improve the application of the protocol involving Dublin and Brussels.

    > “There is a willingness here, there is a willingness to engage by the European Commission, but the British government has refused to engage,” she told Sky News.
    >
    > “It has not been constructive, it has sought a destructive path, and is now proposing to introduce legislation that will undoubtedly breach international law.”

  2. Boris be like:

*’Okay Religious laws, check. Editorial rules, check. Political conventions, check. Nationals laws, check. Oh, this was a good one, create laws then break them, check check. And finally, international law, check. Now for my next move… I’m going to break Space Laws’*

  3. You know the Tories fucked up when Sinn Fein are now the biggest party in the NI Assembly.

  4. What’s with the state of journalism these days? The BBC reported this as some Tory saying it won’t break international law, Reuters are reporting it as some Sinn Fein person saying it will – how about opening the window and checking if it’s fucking raining or not?

  5. Tories: We are going to break international law and start a trade war with our nearest and biggest trade partner after a pandemic and economic downturn due to to Brexit.

Voters: I’m unsure who to trust more…. Tories or Labour.

  6. Gives me a good chuckle to see the British government getting fucking clowned about the law by SF.

We saw this coming though, it was inevitable that Brexit was going to cause serious issues with the GFA.

  7. In a limited and specific way, I don’t know why they don’t understand it.

…maybe I too might break a few specific laws because if its only a breaking a little that’s ok right??
