Greetings from New Zealand Lithuania. Been doing a YouTube tour of the former USSR.
I didn’t know Lithuania existed until 1990 age 12. The anti Soviet protests made the TV here. Since then I’ve read about the war, forest brothers, the PLC (thanks EUIV).
The architecture is very interesting to me.
I live here.
Somehow I managed to sample a Lithuanian beer in NZ and a friend found a different brand and tried that.
I tried Volfas iirc had a gold foil on it. Pretty good for a macro type beer.
NZ is pretty but “old Europe” architecture doesn’t really exist here oldside some Victorian type buildings.
Covid interrupt my planned Moldova/Ukraine/Baltic states and St Petersburg trip.

Greetings, It’s really awesome to see people from far away countries recognize our lil patch of land :D, we may have some old beautiful buildings, but our nature can never compare to how beautiful New Zealand is, also if you have the chance try out “Gubernija” kvass, so far out of the dozens I’ve tried it’s my favorite, I think you’ll love it too, Cheers from Lithuania <3
You tried “Volfas” beer, it’s one of the cheapest here, not of high quality by far. Though we like to think we have amazing beer, but internationally we are mediocre and nobody knows us. Even so, we have good beer, the smaller the brand the better it is usually. Staying away from names like Volvas, Švyturys, Kalnapilis and Ūtenos will help find better beer 🙂
Oh what a cold Wolfiukas
