Grocery store selling powdered donuts marketed as our Paczki. Smh

  1. It’s like somebody made it based on somebody elses story about how they had one few years back, but they never actually had one themselves, seen one or even seen a recipe.

  2. I am sure they are too dry, too sweet and overall garbage.

  3. Those may look legit, but the ingredient list is way too long. It’s what you expect from a product required to have shelf life long enough for a typical supermarket. I’d avoid them.

  4. They are from bakery “Pawełek” made 14.02.2007

  5. They may not be real Pączki, but they aren’t Donuts either if they don’t have the hole in the middle…

  6. I’m happy to see Paczki before Easter in our grocery stores in Toronto but when they are powered and full of strawberry filling … I always pass. 30+ years of passes, so far LOL

  7. My grandmother made absolutely bangin’ pączki. Ugh. She wasn’t the warmest woman with her children, but she was a great grandmother.

  8. And why exactly aren’t they pączki? They’re not donut-shaped. Unless you refer to the label “donuts”, which is a common way to translate “pączki” if you’re not using the word itself (basic school English classes tell you that this is the translation, probably because they’re very reluctant to just put the Polish word in when they’re supposed to, well, teach English)

Edit: There’s a reply to this comment that only shows up on the poster profile (automod removed? It doesn’t have anything bad in it). It says that traditional pączki must not be overly sweet and must not have a filling. I’m literally Polish and I’ve never heard that from anyone, ever. Every pączek I’ve ever eaten had some filling and was very sweet. Not a single person ever suggested that it’s not “pączek” because of that. So I call bullshit

  9. See those aren’t pączki. They’re clearly pa̧czki. It’s not an A with ogonek, it’s an A with a cedilla.

  10. My Italian mother inlaw got me those a couple of times 😂 they taste a little rough
