White House aide Natalie Harp’s brother is coming forward with claims that her infatuation with the president stems from a difficult relationship with her father.
Preston Harp told the Daily Beast that his estranged sister, whom he has not spoken to for many years, had been distant with her late father and had been seeking a replacement for years. “The way my sister interacted with and treated my dad throughout the years, it was like she wished she had a different dad,” Preston told the outlet.
The 38-year-old, who now lives in Nicaragua, also believes that his sister and the president have bonded over American exceptionalism, an ideology that holds that America is superior to other countries. Trump and Harp’s alleged belief has much in common with his “America First” policy, which has stripped several federal sites of their negative associations with U.S. history. Preston said about his sister: “While much of the media has focused on questioning whether her relationship is something scandalous, that is not where my mind goes personally. Maybe it is because I just can’t imagine something like that, but to me this is 100 percent an infatuation based on an unfortunate shared ideology of U.S. exceptionalism.
“I think that she does see Trump as a kind of father figure because he embodies the doctrine of American exceptionalism,” he added. Preston revealed that, in contrast, his late father, who died by suicide in July 2020, did not “embody American exceptionalism in the least.”

Father figure
According to Preston, he had witnessed several holidays when his sister seemed to yearn for a different father. “Though I moved out at 18, I remember many Christmases, Easters, and Father’s Day and Mother’s Day get-togethers where I noticed this,” said Preston.
Trump and Harp’s relationship has reportedly raised several red flags after the Secret Service labeled her a possible security risk. It was reported that Harp, who is constantly spotted at the president’s side, has earned the nickname the “human printer” as the former conservative news anchor now spends her days fetching merchandise, searching on Google, printing news articles from conservative websites, and suggesting Truth Social posts.

As the group of people who enjoy direct access to the president, 80, continue to dwindle, Harp became one of the few people who supported Trump’s Midas touch in the Oval Office.

New York Times White House correspondents Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan said that Harp would often “gush with delight” over the new decor. “As the year progressed, he kept jamming more gold pieces onto the mantel,” they wrote.

“When Trump asked White House residence staff what they thought of the glittering display, most responses were muted, but his devout aide Natalie Harp would gush with delight,” they added. The former White House reporters also talk about how Harp stood by the president despite his scandal-ridden past.
The book also stated that while Trump remained shut up in his Mar-a-Lago resort, Harp was a constant fixture on the golf course by the president’s side. It was further alleged that she would leave the president several letters, including one that read, “You are all that matters to me.”

It was reported that the situation was so bizarre that Susie Wiles, Trump’s chief of staff, once allegedly asked herself, “Where am I?” It was also mentioned that Trump began telling staffers during the early months of his second term that “Nah-ta-lee,” while using the French pronunciation, “was the only one who loved him as much as his wife and his kids.”
“All of you will go off and make money,” he would tell his other staffers. “She’ll never leave me.”
