Probably the rubber boot throwing and cellphone throwing takes the second place. 🇫🇮👍🏻
One Man Drinking Marathon.
She forgot to mention The Bucket Sneaking, where you have to sneak two buckets full of water through an obstacle course. I shit you not.
And just to be a pedantic miser, it’s bog football. Swamps are more liquid.
Did they stop sauna championship competition or why was this not even mentioned?
Also, Academic Kyykkä! It’s a team game where you throw wooden paddles to knock down wooden pegs on a snow/ice field. The world championships are in February.
It is a shame that sauna klonkku isn’t recognized as a competitive sport.
Where can I Go compete in the wife carrying race?
Definitely swamp soccer! https://suopotkupallo.fi/
I think she missed the world Championship of Finnish baseball aka Pesäpallon Maailmanmestaruuskilpailut.
Why is Lordi the example when talking about metal? They aren’t even big
Let’s go!
Love Finland. Son married a Finn. Getting there Tuesday for 5 weeks. Off to the mökki for sauna beers and makkara and to see my grandkids obviously. A lot if these are really like a British self mocking humour. That’s the thing with Finns. They seem dour and unfunny but they’re really not.
Finland isn’t my native country but it is my home, and I have to say even though I’ve never been a fan of hockey, it feels good to live in the country with national team that actually wins a championship. My home state back in the states wins MLB world series but that happens once every 500 years and we’ve never won the super bowl or NBA finals nor the Stanley Cup back when we had an NHL team.
This is a kind of energy I rarely get to experience.
Hyvä Suomi!
Another missed sport: mosquito hunting
