Southern Line commuters are facing hours of disruption after trespassers forced rail services through Homai Station to slow this evening.

A police spokesperson said they were alerted to people on safety barriers near the Manurewa train line at 5.40pm.

Those involved had left the scene by the time officers arrived
and were unable to be located in the surrounding areas.
